About Us and This License

Welcome: This is the S7SoftwareHub License (S7 License), applicable to Individual and Team subscriptions for S7SoftwareHub. If you require extended or enterprise license rights, please contact us directly.

Terms: This S7 License, which supplements and forms part of the S7SoftwareHub User Terms, forms a legally binding agreement between you and us regarding your use of Items. If there is an inconsistency between this S7 License and the S7SoftwareHub User Terms, this S7 License will prevail to the extent necessary to resolve the inconsistency.

Definitions and interpretation: Terms defined or explained in the S7SoftwareHub User Terms have the same meaning in this License unless otherwise defined herein or unless the context requires differently. Words like “include” and “including” are not words of limitation. References to matters “within our discretion” mean our sole discretion.

The Low-Down! The Nuts and Bolts of the S7 License

License granted: For each Item you download and register under your active S7SoftwareHub subscription, you are granted a license to use the Item on a non-exclusive, commercial, worldwide, and revocable basis, for one single use per registration.

If you want to license and use an Item, you must have a valid and active S7SoftwareHub subscription.

Each time you download and register an Item, you receive a license for a single use of that Item. If you want to use the same Item in another project, you must register it again for each new use.

Item ownership: Items available on S7SoftwareHub are owned by the respective creators or publishers of the Item (each being an Author). You cannot claim ownership of an Item, even if you modify it (e.g., through content identification systems). You only have the right to use each Item in accordance with this S7 License.

Single Use

For most Items: A single use means incorporating the Item into one End Product that requires skill and effort to create. Examples include:

  • Templates: A customized implementation of the Item.

  • Audio files: Syncing music with a video, podcast, or presentation, where the Item becomes part of a larger work.

  • Graphics, photos, or other media: Incorporating the Item into a broader design or work, making it different in scope and nature than the Item alone.

For Fonts and Add-ons: A single use means installation of the Item on your device. Once installed during your active subscription, you may use it in multiple projects for as long as your subscription remains active.

This registration approach ensures fair revenue allocation to Authors on S7SoftwareHub.

License Commencement

The license for an Item starts when you register your use of it, and is only valid if you complete the End Product while your subscription is active.

Once the registered Item has been incorporated into a completed End Product during your active subscription, the license becomes perpetual — it continues for the lifetime of that End Product, even after your subscription ends.

Distribution Rights

Each license includes the right to:

  • Display, reproduce, distribute, and perform the End Product you created using the Item.

  • Use the End Product commercially, subject to the restrictions outlined in this License.

Special note for audio Items: Broadcasting rights (such as television or radio) may be restricted — see the Music Item section below.

Usage Terms for Items

What you can do:

  • Use an Item to create an End Product for yourself or for a client.

  • Transfer the End Product to your client under a sublicense, provided:

    • The sublicense limits use of the Item to what is necessary for the End Product.

    • The Item cannot be extracted, resold, or reused separately by the client.

  • Modify or combine an Item with other works.

  • Make unlimited copies of the End Product.

  • Distribute the End Product through multiple channels (digital, print, etc.).

What you can’t do:

  • Use an Item after your subscription ends (unless already incorporated into a completed End Product).

  • Redistribute an Item as-is, whether free or paid.

  • Allow end users to customize or extract Items directly (e.g., “on demand” apps).

  • Use an Item for merchandising where the Item itself is the main value (e.g., selling posters where the image is the main feature).

  • Claim trademark or service mark rights over the Item itself.

Fonts and Add-ons

  • Fonts and Add-ons can only be used by you, the subscriber.

  • You may install them on up to two devices per subscription seat.

  • Usage is only allowed while your subscription is active.

  • You cannot redistribute or modify Fonts or Add-ons.

  • Fonts used in End Products must not enable others to extract or recreate the font itself.

Music Item Special Terms

  • No broadcast rights are included. You must contact S7SoftwareHub for permission if you intend to use music for TV, radio, or theatrical releases.

  • Independent films, online distribution, and student projects are allowed.

  • You cannot claim ownership of music Items, even if synced into your work.

  • P.R.O. Music: Performing rights may require additional licenses from local organizations.

Miscellaneous

  • Third-party licenses: Some Items may contain third-party components with different license terms (e.g., Creative Commons, GPL). These will be identified in the Item’s description or files.

  • Responsibility for Items: We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of Items or third-party components.

  • Acceptable use: You must not use Items for unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, or discriminatory purposes.

  • Termination: We may terminate this License if you breach its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Item.

  • Changes: We may modify this License at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our site.

  • Governing law: This License is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws.
